Born in 1999, Chloe Chapman grew up in Cambridge, UK. She found herself preoccupied with nature from a young age and began to collect natural curiosities such as seashells and fallen birds’ nests as a child. Between 2019 and 2023 She attended Norwich University of the Arts, Graduating with a First Class Honours Bachelors of the Arts.

Chloe Chapman is an emerging artist with an artistic practice that revolves around nature, she collects natural objects as sources of inspiration for her artwork. Her  use of traditional drawing, painting and printing techniques allows her to develop patterns and shapes drawn from nature, and she creates ceramic and woodwork sculptures that build upon natural forms. Chapman is endlessly captivated by the intricate patterns and forms found in the natural world, and most recently she has created a series of sculptural wooden forms using hand-carving techniques that recall the shapes of seedpods or the movement of ripples. She is also concerned with the use of sustainable materials, and where possible Chapman likes to source materials such as clay directly from the ground.
